- Calm to Light Breeze, but strong sun (UV index 9 and up) or heavy rain: Use 150D polyester, no nylon.
- Light Breeze to Moderate Breeze: Use 210D polyester, no nylon.
- Moderate Breeze to Strong Breeze or maritime flags: Use 300D polyester, no nylon.
- Lower the flag when it’s really windy (scale 8-Gale or more).

This is a NEW brand & seller for me. I was impressed by their very professional suggestions on the use of flags. this time I chose polyester + nylon. The polyester flag has been flying for 2 weeks. It's the height of our spring windy season, the flag fabric has a snap in the wind. I plan to replace it with the nylon flag when the wind is less in summer. It is softer. The fabrics of both flags are very solid, Nice weave on the stars and on the flag borders. For now, I'm happy with my purchase.
Flying flags for 10 years. back in new jersey, 2 nylon flags a year did just fine. but here in arizona? Going through 3-4 a year! I Kept switching brands thinking they'd gotten bad quality until found this blog, which suggested that it might be the desert sun and dry air murders nylon. Switched to polyester - hope these new ones survive the desert sun!
Damn good deal on this dual flag set. Slapped one on the back door and ran the other up the front yard flagpole. Let's see how long they can last
Initially, it was just a typical online purchase, sale price, well-made flag, smooth express delivery. however, I completely ignored siri's strong gale warning, while we were on a two-week journey, the flag in the garden got damaged. I emailed them, not expecting much since non-quality issues rarely get resolved. To my surprise, two new flags were quickly delivered, along with an apology note and tips for using flags in the windy Great Plains. I've tried both the "two flags per year" and "three flags per year" subscriptions. but in South Florida, coastal winds and storms mean flags typically last only 4-5 months. This often leaves me with a slightly torn flag while waiting for the next one, or receiving a new flag while the current one is still in good condition. The DUAL SET has been a game-changer for me.
